ok before i start i know my mum was um "special" and had some, well...... bizzare training ideas.. .
i was one of 7 kids, dad didnt help much coz he was sick, so my mum was left to run the 'ship' and she did it with an iron fist.. .

Now I'm curious about the tattoo, piercings and short or shaved hair look. What are your experiences of getting a tatoo or piercing and/or having one prior to joining? Anyone have secret tattoo or piercings? Were you counseled about the look of your hair? Was there anyone that had to go to great lengths to cover up in order to be on the platform?
I bet this kind of stuff drove the GB, CO's and elders nuts.

Looks like you have 2 choices. (1) stay in and try to be happy (2) get out and try to be happy
Your wife evidently wants to stay in and it looks like at least one child is involved. Only you know if the relationship will work with you out of the org. Seen something about fornication, but don't know if that is still an issue or in the past. Strange to me that your wife would play the pre-marital sex card to these men. If you decide to stay in....just put the blinders on, shield yourself from the crap and be happy. I only became unhappy the more active I got and the more I seen.
I don't know you, but my guess is you are young and a born-in JW. Some of your thoughts in word and actions in of itself is proof that the religion is not emotionally healthy.
Stop with the anger driving, you can unintentionally have an accident. Stop with the hitting yourself, because it's ridiculous, immature and your young wife will lose respect for you. Above all stop with the suicide talk, because that's not the answer and you need to be there for your child.
Calm down, be rational and just try to get your family through life with some measure of happiness. These men only have control of your life and happiness as much as you let them have.

recently there have been news reports of teenagers killing themselves because they couldn't take being bullied any longer.. i hate bullies.
i would feel horrible if my grandkids ever got bullied.. have you ever put a bully in his or her place?.
At 14 I had a paper route. One night when I was collecting the money from my route customers 2 thugs attempted to rob me. I was always affraid of these guys, so the fight or flight reflex said flight. When I turned to run the one guy hit me across the back with a chain. The fight reflex then kicked in and I turned around and beat the $hit out of both of them. They never bothered me again.
I've had some good discussions with JW's on the fight or turn the other cheek issue.

i'm 2 weeks into a beard and just got to wondering about it.
My 2 week beard is now down to a goatee.
This is more me. I may keep it and get a Harley. Then again....I may go back to clean shaven and go back to the KH....NOT!!!

This is a good thread. The fact that most here are willing to fight the bully back is probably why we are no longer under WTS control.
In many ways the WTS is like a big bully.
